The #1GAM challenge ran from 2012 to 2018. It was created by McFunkypants who would record a monthly keynote speech to encourage gamedevs to make one game a month. People could earn XP and level up for making games. It was simple and uncommercial, and has helped launch dozens of careers. Thank you everyone! Your enthusiasm and kind words made this such a fun project.
17,047 people signed up, and 3,403 people submitted at least one game. 50 keynote speeches were recorded. 72 themes were announced. 218 of us beat the challenge by submitting 12 or more games. 11,565 games were made in total.
